CECELIA PREMIUM CITRUS

The Minneola Tangelo is a hybrid cross between a Dancy tangerine and a Duncan Grapefruit accomplished by W.T. Swingle of the U.S.D.A. Citrus Station in Orlando, Florida. It was released in 1931. True-to-type Minneolas are characterized by stem-end neck which tends to make the fruit appear pear-or-bell shaped. The flesh is very aromatic and juicy and retains a pleasant sweet-tart flavor consistent with its parentage. The rind and flesh are both a bright orange in color, with the rind taking on more of a reddish-orange color as it matures.
